In earlier days, software like thirty bees and PrestaShop always had a gap: maintainers serving merchants without participation in core development on one side and core developers barely getting in touch with shop operators on the other side.
Merchant’s Edition was founded to close this gap. Merchants talk directly to core developers and vice versa. This way it’s a lot more likely core developers work on what’s actually needed by shop operators. Communications is key for success.
